Echo of Spring is a VR interactive narrative game that invites players into the emotional lives of five young women in a 1990s Chinese dormitory. Through symbolic object matching, spatial exploration, and a ritual of soul exchange, players uncover stories shaped by family, gender, and fate. The gameplay centers on embodied interaction and emotional choice, with a branching structure where each ending reflects the player’s understanding of identity and memory. Developed by an all-female team, the project reclaims authorship in a medium often dominated by male perspectives. With its dreamcore-inspired aesthetics and cultural symbolism, Echo of Spring explores how virtual space can become a medium for quiet reflection and the reimagining of women's stories.
